On Saturday May 4th, I read my book, Freddie the Fruit of the Spirit Tree: The Fruit of Love to the children for Storytime at the Newnan Book Company. It was so wonderful to see the response of the children to questions about the book, as well as their attentiveness. I also played the Christ Presbyterian Church Kids Choir rendition of the the Freddie song for the first time in public, and the response was so precious. I really enjoyed the Sharpsburg Market on July 20th, talking to people about my books, handing out coloring pages from my Freddie the Fruit of the Spirit Tree book, sharing ideas with other vendors, and autographing the books I sold. I am already looking forward to the next Sharpsburg Market on August 17th from 10 to 2. Please come and browse if you are in the area.
I really enjoyed reading to all of the children for story time on August 20th at Barnes & Noble. The kids were so attentive and inquisitive, coming up on the platform and answering questions from my Freddie the Fruit of the Spirit Tree: The Fruit of Love book. I played my new Freddie the Fruit of the Spirit Tree song that accompanies the book during the story time, as well as many times throughout the afternoon when the parents and children came by my table that you see above. The four paintings on the easels displayed to the left of the book are representative of the many paintings that comprise the illustrations within the book. I had such a wonderful day and hope to return again when my second book in the Freddie the Fruit of the Spirit Tree Series is published.
It was a wonderful day on November 16th at the Sharpsburg Market. So many wonderful people stopped by to talk, look at my books, and go home with an autographed book. The cold morning turned into a beautiful day with just a slight breeze, and I’m already looking forward to the December 14th Sharpsburg Market which will be a perfect time for the Christmas shoppers to come and purchase some unique gifts. You will see three books in The Spiritual Awakening Bible Study Series and my stand alone Bible study On the Way to Heaven, the first book I wrote in 2017 regarding the four spiritual growth stages of a Christian. At the time of publication, I thought this book would be the only one I would write. The Lord surprised me, and had me write the Spiritual Awakening Bible Study Series from 2018 to 2020. The final book in the series, Praying from Your Heart: The Fruit to Change your Life, was written during the Covid-19 lockdown when I had time to examine my own heart. There are many instances in the book about how God answered prayer as I was raising my five daughters, home schooling them, and growing in my walk with the Lord. The appendix of the book contains 12 wonderful heartfelt- stories of women who had their prayers answered. The feedback I have received from this book has been very encouraging, as women have had an increased understanding of prayer in their lives.
